The M61 Vulcan cannon is the primary projectile weapon used on most USAF fixed-wing aircraft. It is an air-cooled, six barrel Gatling gun which fires 20 millimeter ammunition at an extremely high rate of fire (approximately 6000 rounds per minute). The F-16 carries up to 540 rounds on most missions, which are expended in less than six seconds of continuous firing. The cannon is one of the most difficult weapons to master in Falcon 4.
