The Targeting Management Switch (TMS) is located on the on the control stick of the F-16, and is used to select targets for various aircraft systems. Like the DMS switch, the TMS is a four-way hat switch, with each direction triggering different functions. The TMS is interesting because the action each direction takes is different depending on the mode of the aircraft, the current sensor of interest, and several other factors. These actions are summarized below. In general, pressing up on the switch selects or targets an item, while pressing down on the switch cancels that selection.
