Display Management Switch
Display Management Switch |
The Display Management Switch (DMS) is located on the F-16's control stick, directly to the right of the Targeting Management Switch. It is used to manage the display systems inside the aircraft, specifically the MFDs and HUD. It is most often used to toggle between the selected MFD pages. There are four functions for the switch, as listed in the table below…
Switch Position | Shortcut | Function |
Up | Ctrl - Num 8 | Selects the HUD as the Sensor of Interest. |
Down | Ctrl - Num 2 | Toggles between the FCR and HSD as SOI. If the FCR is currently selected, the HSD will be selected, and vice versa. |
Left | Ctrl - Num 4 | Cycles the selected page on the left MFD. |
Right | Ctrl - Num 6 | Cycles the selected page on the right MFD. |
